Gucci Beauty expands #FloraFantasy into the metaverse as Miley Cyrus becomes the first persona to appear as an avatar in Gucci Town on Roblox. The multi-platinum selling recording artist, songwriter, trailblazer, and face of Gucci Flora Gorgeous Jasmine campaign guides a new expression of the scent’s joy-fueled world with an immersive, virtual takeover.

Her #FloraFantasy anthem of imagination, self-expression and unbound freedom continues into this new dimension through digital adventures in Gucci Town, with content brought to life in partnership with game developer studio The Gang. Unveiled in May 2022, Gucci Town is the virtual destination on Roblox created for the growing global Gucci community. It represents a dynamic space for building connection through shared creative experiences, home to a community of like-minded individuals seeking the unexpected in the imaginative.

This immersive world now welcomes Miley’s avatar as an arbiter of play and discovery, leading quests, games, and interactive learning.

Gucci Town visitors can join scavenger hunts for magical “Flora” letters and win unexpected rewards, as well as unlock new surprises through Mini Game Heights. Additionally, on Selfie Way, all can strike a pose in the joyful scene of the latest Gucci Flora Gorgeous Jasmine campaign.

Users can also discover the fragrance in the virtual Gucci store. Modeled after real-life boutiques, it transports and inspires with a recreation of the physical Gucci Flora pop-up. And for those looking to accessorize the experience, visitors can purchase digital fragrance bottles as wearable backpacks to sport throughout the platform, while they explore the cheery world of Gucci Flora fragrances.

Following the success of its launch in April 2021, Gucci Beauty adds three new shades to the Rouge De Beauté Brillant line.

 

308 Lucy Dark Orange

Extending the range to 18 shades from September 2021, the hybrid lipstick – where vibrant, glowing colour meets deeply moisturising, long-lasting care – introduces 308 Lucy Dark Orange, 508 Diana Amber, and 517 Abbie Maroon Red as Gucci continues to disrupt the makeup industry with Creative Director Alessandro Michele at the helm. In the new campaign, a selection of Rouge De Beauté Brillant lipsticks are showcased in a scene recalling a dinner party in the 70’s, a fitting habitat for this glamourous lipstick that epitomes an era in which more was always more.

 

The Extended Shade Range

508 Diana Amber

Beautiful shine and glowing colour combine in a vibrant range of 18 reds, pinks, corals, plum and natural shades. The three new shades include Lucy Dark Orange, a sultry burnt orange, for the cocktail hour, playful Diana Amber, a darker pink hue for the dinner party that turns into dancing, and Abbie Maroon Red, the perfect red shade with hints of purple to ensure all eyes are on you when it’s time for the party games to start. With brilliant colour and nourishing properties all in one, the cherry on top of the trifle is the aesthetic beauty of these lipsticks: in a nod to the Creative Director’s passion for collectable objects of desire, the lipstick is encased in an elegant slim gold bullet with a unique gold and black vintage brooch print.

The Formula

Serving as in-between for a sheer and satin lipstick, Gucci Beauty Rouge De Beauté Brillant delivers 24 hours of moisture and beautifully pigmented shine at once. With the caring properties of a balm and lipstick levels of pigmentation, Rouge De Beauté Brillant delivers a veil of vibrant, glowing colour with an instant sensation of moisture. To nourish lips, the formula is infused with luxurious and moisturising Black Rose and Peony Oil combined with Jojoba Seed Oil and Karité Butter, while Hyaluronic Acid not only provides immediate hydration, but longlasting hydration too, as well as a subtle lip-plumping and smoothing effect.

The Campaign

As Rouge De Beauté Brillant expands its range, so is Gucci Beauty’s cast of characters, featuring iconic Italian model and actress Benedetta Barzini. Following her debut in Gucci’s Cruise 2020 advertising campaign, she is captured alongside model Cara Ekwueme in a shot expressing the vitality of 70’s dinner parties, joining the Gucci Beauty family for the first time. Moving from breakfast in bed to dinner in the living room, images shot by Mark Peckmezian, with art direction by Christopher Simmonds, recall sumptuous tables from the past, with their rainbow food and drink, from layered trifles to set salads, mini meringues and fruit jellies. The collection of Rouge De Beauté Brillant lipsticks appear nestled amongst an array of colourful confectionary, on a table set with cut glass crystal and silver rimmed serving bowls, surrounded by lush velvet curtains.

Gucci has announced the debut of multi-platinum selling recording artist, songwriter and trailblazer Miley Cyrus as the face of Gucci Flora Gorgeous Gardenia Eau de Parfum, a new fragrance by Creative Director Alessandro Michele.

With her distinctive individuality, she will be the protagonist in a series of images and a fanciful video, directed and shot by artist Petra Collins under Alessandro Michele’s creative direction, dedicated to the new scent.

The embodiment of her generation, Miley Cyrus speaks truth to self-expression, optimism and authenticity, acting as a muse for the new joy-fueled fantasy land created by Gucci Beauty and inspired by her unique personality.

The new Gucci Flora Gorgeous Gardenia Eau de Parfum will be available from July 30th on gucci.com and starting August 1st in selected Gucci stores, retailers and perfumeries worldwide. Coty announced the opening of the Gucci Beauty flagship store on the Tmall Luxury Pavilion, Alibaba’s dedicated platform for the world’s leading luxury and premium brands.

The digital store connects Gucci Beauty products with more than 770 million Chinese consumers on the Tmall platform, who will now have the opportunity to experience and purchase items from Gucci Beauty’s full range of make-up and fragrances, including favorites Rouge à Lèvres Mat lipstick and Poudre De Beauté Mat Naturel face powder. The collaboration provides consumers with a world-class experience and trusted shopping environment, whilst enabling Gucci Beauty to significantly scale up its reach and engagement within the Chinese luxury market.

Today’s launch follows the opening of the first flagship store by Gucci on Tmall Luxury Pavilion dedicated to its fashion collections in December 2020.

Offering a unique, distinctive environment, Tmall Luxury Pavilion enables brands to bring the same custom-tailored experience and sense of exclusivity from their brick-and-mortar stores to China’s online shoppers.

The Packaging

Collectable objects of desire, the Gucci Guilty Love Edition 2021 bottle designs reflect the vision of #ForeverGuilty. Encased in the distinctive heavy glass Gucci Guilty bottles, the scents renew their look in shades of ivory and grey mauve, half in a shiny lacquered finish and half translucent glass. Acting as an echo for the other like star-crossed lovers, the back of each bottle features poetry verses designed to be paired to be completed: We are not together but we should be, on the female bottle, and we should be together, but we are not on the male fragrance. Both bottles are finished with a cap of the matching shade and accented with the House’s interlocking G logo. Inscribed with black capital letters in a new gothic font to reflect the bold statement the scents represent, each bottle is packaged within a matching box of the same design.
