Saks Global, the largest multi-brand luxury retailer in the world, announced that Richard Baker, Executive Chairman of Saks Global, has assumed the role of CEO of Saks Global, overseeing the company’s luxury retail operations. In addition to the CEO role, Baker will continue to serve as Executive Chairman. Saks Global and Marc Metrick have agreed that Mr. Metrick will step down from his role as Chief Executive Officer. This transition reflects Mr. Metrick’s desire to pursue new opportunities.

Baker will work closely with the company’s management team to advance Saks Global’s transformation while delivering exceptional products, elevated experiences and highly personalized service to meet consumer demand for luxury retail.

Baker noted, “I look forward to continuing to work with our highly experienced management team, valued partners, and other stakeholders to secure a strong and stable future for our company. Heritage men’s fragrance brand, ARAMIS, officially launched its new scent, Intuition, with global ambassador, Dwyane Wade, during New York Fashion Week.

The celebration kicked off with an immersive pop-up on New York City’s iconic High Line, where guests explored the story behind the fragrance through scent, sound, and design. Dwyane Wade made a personal appearance at the interactive event, joined by his wife, actress Gabrielle Union.

Later in the afternoon, Wade participated in an intimate conversation around personal grooming, fragrance, and modern masculinity at Bloomingdale’s 59th Street. Moderated by Mike Muse, the conversation also featured Donato Smith, Wade’s longtime barber, and friend. Chantecaille, a globally renowned luxury botanical skincare and cosmetics brand owned by the Beiersdorf Group, has appointed Tennille Kopiasz as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective September 3rd. Kopiasz succeeds former CEO Emily Coleman and is carrying out her new position in the company’s global headquarters in New York City, USA. She reports directly to Beiersdorf Executive Board Member Oswald Barckhahn, who is responsible for the cosmetics business in Europe and North America as well as for the brands La Prairie and Chantecaille.

Kopiasz has over 25 years of beauty marketing experience across prestige, designer and mass brands, having held positions in both global developmental and US executional operational roles. During her career, Kopiasz gained expertise across multiple product categories including skincare, cosmetics, fragrance and hair. She joins Chantecaille from Blue Mistral, where she served as Chief Executive Officer, overseeing FEKKAI and Bastide, portfolio companies of Cornell Capital. Prior to that, she held senior leadership roles at LVMH, including Global Chief Marketing Officer at Fresh and Senior Vice President of Marketing at Dior North America. She has also worked at Coty and L’Oréal USA across a range of brands, products and functions. Furthermore, Kopiasz holds an adjunct professorship at the Fashion Institute of Technology, teaching Leadership and being actively involved in their mentor program supporting the next generation of beauty talent and female leadership.

IFF –the global leader in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients, health and biosciences—today announced the appointment of Paul J. Fribourg and Jesus B. Mantas to its board of directors, effective immediately.

These appointments bring extensive international leadership experience, and industry and strategic insight to IFF as the company continues to advance its innovation agenda and strengthen its market position.

“I am delighted that Paul and Jesus are joining the IFF board,” said Kevin O’Byrne, chair of the IFF board. “They bring a strong combination of digital innovation, global market insight and operational excellence. Their experience, leadership and vision will help guide IFF through its next phase of growth as we continue to deliver breakthrough solutions for customers and create long-term value for our stakeholders.”

Fribourg brings more than four decades of global leadership experience in agribusiness, food and investment sectors, and currently serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Continental Grain Company, a position he has held since 1997. Fribourg has overseen the company’s transformation into a diversified global investment firm with a focus on food, agriculture and adjacent industries. Under his leadership, Continental Grain Company has expanded its portfolio and strategic partnerships across continents, reinforcing its legacy of innovation and resilience.

He serves as lead independent director of Loews Corp. and sits on the boards of The Estée Lauder Companies Inc., Syngenta Group Co. Ltd. and Wayne-Sanderson Farms LLC. Fribourg is also a member of the Rabobank International North American Agribusiness Advisory Board, the Council on Foreign Relations, the Temasek Americas Advisory Panel and the International Business Leaders Advisory Council for the mayor of Shanghai.

Mantas is a leader in artificial intelligence, business transformation and innovation. He recently retired from IBM, where he served as global managing partner leading the $10 billion Business Transformation Services unit in IBM Consulting.

Before that, he led IBM Consulting global strategy, offerings and acquisitions. He also oversaw several global divisions, including IBM Global Business Outsourcing, IBM Consulting in Latin America, and IBM Consulting in the North America enterprise market. Prior to joining IBM, he was a partner in the technology practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting.

Mantas currently serves on the board of directors at Biogen Inc., where he chairs the Compensation and Management Development Committee. He is vice chair of the board at HITEC, a nonprofit that promotes and celebrates technology leadership in the Hispanic community. He also serves as a council member of the Council on Global Competition and Innovation, a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization focused on accelerating innovation investments in national security.

He was a member of the World Economic Forum’s AI Global Council, served as an adjunct professor at the University of California, Irvine Graduate School of Management, and was an officer in the Spanish Air Force.
