Editorial manicurist Alicia Torello creates Watermelon Nail Art for Essie

Editorial manicurist, Alicia Torello, has created a new summer nail art look using a few of essie’s most-loved shades. See below for a complete breakdown on how to create this look and shades used…

Watermelon Mani:

  1. Start with a base coat, like essie’s new here to stay base coat
  2. Take a striping brush to create the moon shape at the base of each nail using the shade watermelon, then go back and trace along the edge of the moon with mojito madness to create the rind.
  3. To create the dots, you can use a dotting tool or toothpick and add a few random seeds using the shade licorice.
  4. Finish with a top coat like essie’s speed.setter for the quick drying time and added shine!
