Kim WOW’s at The Met Gala; Will receive CFDA’s First Fashion Influencer Award
Kim Kardashian West wow’d the crowd at The Met Gala with the help Color Wow Global Creative Director and Celebrity Hairstylist Chris Appleton. Kim looked so great in her “Heavenly Bodies” inspired gold Versace dress, that the CFDA has decided to present her with their first Influencer Award this year!
See both Chris Appleton’s and Makeup by Mario’s breakdowns below:
To combat the humidity in New York City, Chris prepped the hair by applying Color Wow’s Dream Coat Anti-Humidity Hair Treatment ($28) through Kim’s wet hair to make sure her hair stays frizz-free and glossy on the red carpet tonight.
Next, he blow dried the hair using the Dyson Supersonic Pro Hair Dryer ($449.99) and a large bristle brush to ensure a smooth finish and add bounce to the ends of the hair.
Then, using a 3-inch curling iron, he took large sections, bending the ends for extra movement and shine. Next, using a bristle brush, Chris took the hair into a half-up, high pony.
Chris’ Pro-Tip: “Gather the hair from the front of the ear to the crown so you don’t add too much hair and the pony sits flat.”
Once the hair is secured, Chris sprayed a toothbrush with Color Wow’s Cult Favorite Firm + Flexible Hairspray ($24) and brushed back all fly-aways around the hairline.
To finish, he added jewelry for the ultimate “90s vibe” glam!
