Shalini’s Amorem Rose x The Pierre Hotel

Amorem Rose is an ode to love…the greatest love.  Celebrating its 90th anniversary this year in October, New York’s legendary Pierre Hotel has been host to some of the city’s most glamorous weddings and engagements since opening in 1930.  This month, Amorem Rose and The Pierre will launch an engagement of their own with a month of romance at the hotel.

Inspired by the rose gardens of the Taj Mahal, a symbol of great love, Amorem Rose is the perfect partner for The Pierre, the North American flagship for Taj Hotels. During the month of February, couples who book the hotel’s new Romance Package will receive an exclusive gift: a 0.25-ounce bottle of Amorem Rose presented in its signature handcrafted, signed black box with yellow ribbon. Guests who reserve one of The Pierre’s Grand Suites will receive an elegant White Lacquer, Gold-plated 0.4-ounce travel bottle of the fragrance.  All package bookings include a $100 minibar credit which can be applied towards a half bottle of Taittinger Champagne or other in-room food & beverage amenities.

For those who fall in love with Amorem Rose, guests will also have an opportunity to purchase more of the Shalini Parfum Collection and meet Shalini herself at a personal appearance scheduled for February 12th.

“The pursuit of beauty and creation is my soul’s greatest desire.   The motivation behind my perfumes is to create something of beauty, of lasting value and of the ethereal that will stand the test of time – modern masterpieces.  The Pierre is my favorite hotel in New York, truly an oasis in the city.  With its French and Indian heritage and iconic status, it is the perfect home for Amorem Rose,” says Shalini.

Amorem Rose is a glorious composition of Bulgarian rose, Plum wine, Saffron flowers, Baltic amber and Mahogany wood.  The Damask Rose, which grows in the magical Rose Valley in Bulgaria, is considered the most fragrant, exquisite and opulent of all roses.  It is the heart of Amorem Rose.  Often referred to as the Queen of Flowers, the rose is considered to have the highest “love energy” of all flowers, it is the symbol of divine feminine love.  Amorem Rose represents the essence of luxury.

Ever since opening in 1930, The Pierre has been revered as a quintessential monument to New York City romance and grandeur. From Henry Fonda and Jane Seymour to Elizabeth Taylor and Eddie Fisher, celebrities, socialites, business magnets, fashion icons have all selected the landmark hotel as the backdrop for the most important moments of their lives.  The Pierre’s iconic Rotunda has been described as one of NYC’s most romantic places for couples.

“Romance and timeless elegance are at the core of what makes The Pierre such a beloved destination for couples.  We are thrilled to be able to bring the romance of Amorem Rose to our guests as we launch our 90th Anniversary celebrations,” says Francois-Olivier Luiggi, General Manager of the hotel.

As part of The Pierre’s month of romance, Two E Lounge’s ongoing cabaret series will feature KT Sullivan performing the music of Cole Porter and an intimate evening with the stars of The Phantom of the Opera.  Exquisite Valentine’s Day menus are planned for Perrine restaurant and The Rotunda.
