La Maison Valmont Opens First U.S. Boutique and Spa at The Carlyle Hotel in NYC

Renowned Swiss skincare and fragrance brand, Valmont, has announced the opening of its first flagship boutique in the United States located at the ground floor of New York City icon, The Carlyle. Simultaneously debuting only steps away from the store is the brand’s new Valmont Spa on the third floor of the historic hotel. This new posh Upper East Side address will become home for all things Valmont where luxury and art intermingle as guests experience an exclusive immersion into its universe.

Just as The Carlyle has symbolized the utmost in sophisticated hospitality for generations, Valmont has embodied extreme elegance, heritage, and excellence for decades. Built in 1930, the landmark building will serve as home to La Maison Valmont’s boutique and the hotel will host the newly renovated jewel box Valmont Spa. Sharing not only the same elite clientele of world leaders, celebrities, VIPs and international travelers, the two brands also hold in common core values of supreme authenticity, recognized luxury, impeccable service, remarkable privacy and exceptional personalized treatment, making this partnership a match made in heaven.

A genuine expression of the Swiss House’s savoir-faire, this 800 square foot boutique is a true temple of modern luxury that will embody La Maison Valmont’s spirit and art de vivre with an eclectic mix of skincare, perfume and art. Celebrating the expertise of each La Maison Valmont brand pillar, products from l’Elixirdes Glaciers skincare, Valmont skincare, Storie Veneziane fragrance collections and Fondation Valmont, the brand’s overarching art component will each be showcased in dedicated sections. In addition, a generous consultation space where clients can receive expert advice on personalized skin analysis, home care routines, beauty tips, recommended Valmont services, treatments and individualized perfume profiles will be offered inside the new retail destination. La Maison Valmont will have interactive experiences with opportunities to win products and spa treatments popping up at the boutique on a rolling basis so each visit will be a surprise for the guests, encouraging regular check-ins.

To pay tribute to NYC and Valmont’s first US boutique, Creative Director, Owner and Artist, Didier Guillon selected art work from contemporary American artists Sol Lewitt, Mark Tobey and Woodrow Nash as well as cherished pieces from la Fondation Valmont collection including Tintswalo by Didier Guillon himself to adorn the walls of La Maison Valmont. Custom Murano glass lighting fixtures from Venetian artist, Aristide Najean are also featured.

 

An art experience room will be spotlighted inside the boutique with comfortable chairs encouraging guests to relax and take in Valmont’s personal art collection. Weekly screenings of 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968, Stanley Kubrick), one of Didier’s never-ending inspirations with a timeless sensorial experience will play once per week alongside other content and art-inspired films inside the store. Valmont’s tagline has always been, ‘Where Art Meets Beauty’ and every ounce of La Maison Valmont is dedicated to that marriage.
